Legend Amitabh Bachchan, 72, suddenly fell ill during shooting for his upcoming movie 'Piku' in Kolkata on Monday. While shooting in the movie set Big B suddenly fell unconscious during riding a bicycle.
Doctors says that Bachchan has been diagnosed with Vasovagal Syncope syndrome, which occurs while staying hungry for long hours, minimum consumption of water and working strenuously are the reasons for the occurrence of this syndrome.
Yesterday, the actor had landed in the capital city of West Bengal from where he had started his new celluloid journey, riding a bicycle past the iconic Writers' Building.
Bachchan was shooting for the Shoojit Sircar film which explores father-daughter relationship. The character has a loose cap, which covered part of his bearded face and with a pot belly.
Big B had spent the entire day cycling around the streets of Kolkata, in severe heat, after which he fell ill.
The veteran actor was shooting along with co-stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
As per the sources, Big B posed before the camera again after taking rest for an hour.
The Director, Sircar, who has to his credits films like 'Vicky Donor' and 'Madras Cafe', was present throughout the shooting , which soon attracted a number of spectators.
