Ram- Leela, the hit movie of duos, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, not only a hit n Big Screen, but also named even in courts.. On Friday (03|05|2014), local court in Muzaffarpur issued a warrants against Ram- Leela director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actors Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, musicians, lyricists and another producer, Kishore Lulla, in connection with a case alleging that few scenes in the movie hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus.
As per the warrants, Mumbai Police Commissioner has to arrest the persons concerned and produce them at court on June 4, in the presence of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) SP Singh, who issued the warrants.
These warrants were issued based on the case, which was filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in November last year, the complaint was about few scenes in the movie, which hurts the religious sentiments of the Hindus.
However, the Madhya Pradesh High Court had stopped the release of the movie till November 22, 2013 but it was released on November 12.
Later, the CJM took cognisance of the case on 14th February 2014 and summoned the actors and the director, who did not turn up following which the warrants were issued.
