Social networking site, Facebook, plans to unveil its first ad network to boost revenues.
Facebook will launch a mobile advertising network that controls its database of user information to provide better targeted ads.
According to CNET report, the new ad network would allow Facebook to generate profits from its users even when they are not on Facebook properties, such as in-app ads.
However, this step will take the social networking site straight against Apple, iAd, and Google with 'AdMob'.
Meanwhile, The company garnered just 5.4 percent of the mobile ad revenue market in 2012, but that number increased to 17.5 percent in 2013, and analysts believe that number could skyrocket with the introduction of a custom ad network.
