On Wednesday morning six people were burned to death and 12 seriously injured when a bus caught fire. The accident happened in a village near Davanagere, almost 260 kilometers northwest of Bangalore.
Injured people have been hospitalized, said by the officials.
The fire was caused by a leak in the diesel fuel tank of the bus which carried 29 passengers, said Murthy.
As per the police reports, every year more than 110,000 people are killed in road accidents across India due to reckless driving, bad roads and poorly maintained vehicles. Among this bus accidents are dangerous and common.
