On Thursday Kerala High Court upheld the state government's decision to put a ban on serving liquor in over 700 small bars across the state and allowed five and four star and heritage hotels to serve liquor in compliance with the state government's earlier directive in this regard.

Kerala State Pensioners' Sangh (KSPS) has urged the state government to raise the superannuation age to 60 from the present age 56.

Custodial torture again and it happened in Kerala, Gods Own Country. The victim was a 28-year old housemaid and ahe was arrested on suspicion that she has stolen jewels from a home where she works.

On Tuesday Kerala Governor and former Chief Justice of India Justice P Sathasivam suggested avoiding epithets like "His Excellency" while addressing him.

On Wednesday UDF government in Kerala said that schools which lack toilet facility would not be issued 'fitness certificate' from next academic year.
