Along with four other countries India will start work to build the world's biggest telescope in Hawaii Island on Tuesday, says reports.
The telescope will be known as TMT which is 30 meter long and will be constructed near the summit of the Mauna Kea volcano on Hawaii Island. Expecting the construction is likely to be completed by 2022, reported the Japan Times.
Japan, the US, China and Canada are the other nations along with India involved in the project.
Also the report said that Japan covering about a quarter of the cost of the project and the cost is $1.47 billion
To mark the beginning of the construction work, around 100 astronomers and officials from these five countries will attend a ceremony in Hawaii Island
