Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's much awaited action movie 'Aagadu' has collected a gross of Rs 18.02 crore worldwide within two days of its release. The film experts says it is "the best opening" of the actor's career life.
Even-though the movie opened to mixed reviews from the critics, but has still managed to impress the masses.
Trinath, the trade analyst said, "Mahesh's Aagadu has registered his career's best opening. It managed to rake in Rs 18.02 crore at the box-office worldwide in two days and is going strong. It's definitely going to set new records for the industry."
'Aagadu' is directed by Srinu Vaitla and released on Friday, 19th September. Tamannah Bhatia, Sonu Sood, Brahmanandam and Rajendra Prasad are also features in important roles.
Trinath added, "Aagadu was expected to collect more, but "due to rains in Andhra Pradesh, the numbers dropped on the second day. In some key areas, rain played a spoilsport, which resulted in drop in the overall box-office collection."
However, it has not affected the overall performance of the movie.
"The film is doing exceptionally well in all other places. Outside Andhra Pradesh, Aagadu has registered new records at the box-office. It touched the Rs.1 million mark from the premiere shows in the USA on Thursday," he said.
